I’m Mr. JayR McIntyre—known as THA HOOD MOTIV8TOR. I am a United States Army combat veteran, motivational speaker, life coach, bestselling author, and business strategist dedicated to helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential.
I grew up in Long Beach, California, facing the harsh realities of poverty, addiction, and street life. In 1994, I lost my mother to AIDS after her battle with crack cocaine addiction. By 2002, I found myself incarcerated in Los Angeles County Jail. But just two weeks after my release, I made a life-changing decision to enlist in the United States Army. That choice set me on a path of discipline, transformation, and purpose.
For 14 years, I proudly served my country, completing three combat tours in Iraq from 2004 to 2010 and earning the Bronze Star for my service. Those experiences shaped my resilience, leadership, and perspective—and now fuel the message I bring to every audience.
As an entrepreneur, I built and managed Rat Pack Worldwide Security (2018–2022), learning firsthand the highs and lows of business ownership. Today, I bring those lessons—raw, real, and results-driven—to the stage, empowering people to turn pain into power, build an unshakable mindset, and take bold action toward success.
I am also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Xi Sigma Chapter, Tampa, where I continue my commitment to leadership, service, and mentorship.
